This just makes me happy.
Now bear with me as I admit that I was never a huge fan of Nirvana. I know that this would probably come across as heresy in many quarters, it’s just that they never really did it for me. I don’t dislike them – there are many tracks which are properly great, and it would be ridiculous to say otherwise – I just never bought into the hype.
I say that there are tracks which are properly great. ‘Lithium’ is one of them. Is it wrong of me, however, to think that The Polyphonic Spree totally nailed it here? It sounds like ‘Lithium’ in the style of a Bond Theme. It’s bonkers, it’s epic, and it’s quite wonderful.
I say again – it just makes me happy.
