freethinking:mcr

I’ve been building up to this.

freethinking nyc started about ten years ago. From the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and eventually across the East River to Williamsburg in Brooklyn, freethinking nyc was a proudly different kind of night. The sounds of 70s soul would cosy up next to Mancunian industrial post-punk and innovative electronica. Hell, we’d even throw Nat Cole into the mix if it felt right. Kush, The Bedford and the legendary Zebulon all hosted regular nights. There was even a special excursion to Berlin for a one-off party.

Since relocating back to these shores, freethinking:mcr has been on my mind. NYC and Manchester share a rich musical heritage. It always felt like bringing a freethinking night to Manchester was just right.

It’s time.

freethinking:mcr lands on Friday February 14th, from 4-8pm at Tariff & Dale. From Manhattan to Williamsburg, and now to the Northern Quarter.

Bring an open mind.
